Helping You Build the Capacity to Adapt—One Conversation at a Time
Every person's life is shaped by unique experiences, relationships, challenges, and strengths. That's why I've never believed there is one solution that works for everyone. The most meaningful change begins by understanding who you are, what you've experienced, and what matters most to you.
At Lifeworks Of Maine, I provide Integrative Autonomic Coaching to help individuals and couples better understand the patterns influencing their lives and develop practical strategies for lasting change. My work is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and respect, creating a supportive environment where you can explore challenges, discover new possibilities, and move forward with greater confidence.
For more than 25 years, I've had the privilege of working alongside people facing life's many transitions. Those experiences continue to shape the thoughtful, individualized approach I bring to every coaching relationship today.
My Professional Journey
My career began in private psychotherapy, where I spent more than two decades helping people navigate emotional, relationship, and personal challenges. Over time, one question continued to shape my work:
Why does the same approach help one person, overwhelm another, and have little effect on someone else?
That question inspired me to look beyond traditional methods and explore the science of adaptation. I became increasingly interested in how stress, sleep, breathing, relationships, daily routines, and the nervous system influence our ability to recover, learn, and grow.
Today, my coaching approach reflects what I learned through years of professional experience and continued study: lasting change is most effective when support is tailored to the individual rather than the problem alone.
Why the Nervous System Matters
Many people know what they want to change. They may want to improve their sleep, strengthen relationships, reduce stress, recover from difficult experiences, or feel more emotionally present. Yet knowing what to do doesn't always make change easier.
My work often considers the connections between:
- Stress and recovery
- Sleep and daily energy
- Breathing and regulation
- Relationships and emotional well-being
- Lifestyle habits
- Personal strengths and resources
Looking at these factors together helps create a more complete understanding of your overall well-being and provides a stronger foundation for meaningful change.
BrainTap as Part of a Personalized Plan
When appropriate, I may recommend
BrainTap as one component of your coaching experience.
BrainTap is a neuromodulation technology that combines guided breathing, rhythmic light stimulation, and immersive audio experiences to support relaxation, focus, recovery, and restorative sleep.
I don't believe any single tool is the answer for everyone. BrainTap is simply one option that may complement your personalized coaching plan when it aligns with your goals and circumstances. Every recommendation I make is based on thoughtful observation rather than a standard formula.
